"I can't be invisible. But I can kick your ass"

Whilst browsing French Connections' S/S10 range I decided to look further into the rumours of a supposed film endorsement. And to my surprise, it has turned out to be true! French Connection have produced items for men, women and children in collaboration with this years predicted hit cult film; Kick Ass.

Due for release on 2nd April 2010, this film follows an unnoticed high school student who one day simply decides that he wants to be a superhero. Despite his lack of powers. Cue lots of mayhem.

The film was directed by Matthew Vaughn - who brought us films such as Layer Cake and Stardust - and features actors such as Nicolas Cage and Christopher Mintz-Plasse (yes, McLovin from Superbad)

A sneak preview of the t-shirts shows ladies tees featuring slogans such as 'Girls Kick Ass' and 'Hit Girl' (one of the film's fiesty characters)...

(Apologies for the tags on photos, but I didn't want to wait until they were on the website until I shared them!)

Now the tees have been given the selling price of £25 a pop. And whilst this is in line with the traditional French Connection casual tee, I can't help but wonder if this is a little too high for a fad tee?

French Connection - new brand direction?

It makes me so happy to see that French Connection have FINALLY updated their website, giving it a much fresher and more exclusive brand feel. They seem to have finally caught on that the internet is such a massive way of communicating, and that the large majority of their customers will be checking them out online - so the site needs to be funky and appealing.

The old homepage was dull and ordinary, however now it has much more of an urban feel and is simple yet interesting;

Already I am much more inclined to browse the website - however some pages such as the history of the brand section still need updating. Heres hoping the reinvention of the brand will continue!
